Under the umbrella of the “Wider Spaces – Wider Opportunities” project implemented by Nabaa in partnership with The Johanniter, an advocacy campaign was undertaken targeting the popular committees, local community, NGOs and other active members in the community. The aim of the campaign is to provide accessibility for people with disabilities in the labor market, vocational training centers and other educational sectors. During the campaign, different speeches were made by the Representatives of the civil committees, popular institutions and NGOs.  These speeches asked for a commitment at the local level to help facilitate the integration of people with disabilities in the labor market. Finally, the participants stressed the importance of following-up on these campaigns and of helping to raise the voice of people with disabilities and the local community in order to reach the duty bearers and decision makers (officials at the local level and national and regional levels). In addition, they highlighted the importance of the role of all government, private and civil bodies to achieve the integration of people with disabilities.
