Developmental Action without Borders – Naba’a is seeking PSS Facilitators to provide psychosocial support to beneficiaries in marginalized communities. The role involves assessing psychosocial needs, conducting group support sessions, making referrals, and collaborating with caseworkers to ensure effective interventions. Facilitators will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating support activities, documenting progress, and adhering to ethical guidelines.

About Developmental Action without Borders, Naba'a:
Developmental Action without Borders - Naba’a, is a Lebanese NGO operational since 2001. Registered under the Ministry of Interior (no. 104/AD), Naba’a is dedicated to serving all marginalized communities in Lebanon, especially children, without distinction of nationality, color, race, or religion. This includes communities within camps and gatherings in Lebanon, as well as local Lebanese communities.

Developmental Action without Borders, Naba’a, does not employ individuals who are married to children (persons under 18). Naba’a enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment, abuse of authority, and discrimination. All prospective candidates must undergo thorough reference and background checks which will mainly verify employment history, professional performance, and adherence to the aforementioned policies. Furthermore, the selected candidates must provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening or an equivalent criminal record check as a condition of employment.
Key Responsibilities of PSS Facilitators:
Assessment of Psychosocial Needs:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify the psychosocial needs of beneficiaries, focusing on their emotional, social, and mental well-being.
- Develop tailored support plans based on the assessments to effectively address the identified needs.
Group Support Sessions and Providence of Support:
- Facilitate regular group support sessions aimed at building resilience, fostering community support, and sharing effective coping strategies.
- Design interactive workshops that address common challenges faced by beneficiaries, such as stress management and emotional regulation.
Referral and Linkages:
- Identify beneficiaries requiring specialized mental health services and coordinate referrals to caseworkers
Collaboration and Integration:
- Work closely with caseworkers and other relevant team members to provide integrated support to beneficiaries.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of psychosocial support activities to measure effectiveness and impact.
- Provide feedback and insights for program improvement based on direct interactions with beneficiaries and outcomes of interventions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of psychosocial assessments, interventions, and follow-up actions.
- Prepare reports detailing the progress and outcomes of psychosocial support activities, contributing to project reporting requirements.
Adherence to Policies and Ethics:
- Uphold and promote the organization’s code of conduct and protection policies, including PSEAH, general safeguarding and child safeguarding.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Coordinator, adapting to the evolving needs of the project
Minimum Requirements:
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social science, counseling or a related field
Professional Qualifications:
2 -3 years of proven experience in Psychosocial support, mental health programs or community-based support programs.
