For Her Dignity project aims to ensure that girls, boys, and women at risk and survivors of violence have access to quality prevention and response services.
Our Achievements:
Mental and Emotional Health: 30% of women and 10% of boys who attended PSS sessions showed improvement in mental and emotional health.
Decision-Making Skills: 20% of women who attended PSS sessions reported an increase in their decision-making skills.
Vocational Training Referrals: 15 out of 40 girls who attended PSS sessions were referred to vocational training, promoting their independence.
Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices: There was a 52% improvement in knowledge, attitudes, and practices among participants after attending GBV sessions.
Strengthening Family Relationships: Sessions with mothers and fathers improved their understanding of youth needs and enhanced their relationships.
Violence and Discrimination Awareness: Raising awareness sessions for mothers, girls, fathers, boys, and community leaders focused on reducing violence and discrimination.
Parenting Practices: Project activities helped mothers and fathers change their treatment of children, notably reducing violence.
Behavioral and Attitudinal Changes: Observable changes in behavior and attitudes towards gender-based violence were achieved through PSS and GBV sessions.
Involvement of Women and Youth with Disabilities: These individuals participated in capacity building, GBV, and PSS sessions, enhancing their self-esteem and enabling them to share knowledge through peer-to-peer training sessions.
Reporting Violence: 56% of the beneficiaries felt empowered to report violence.
Knowledge on GBV and Gender Issues: There was a 45% improvement in beneficiaries' knowledge and awareness on GBV, gender, and early marriage.
